Welcome to the home of the United States Neapolitan Mastiff Club!
The USNMC is the official AKC-recognized parent club for the Neapolitan Mastiff Club. As Parent Clubs go, the USNMC is young - only 17 years. Nevertheless, we are rich with history and a strong core of dedicated members, the numbers of which continue to grow. Explore this site for information on our breed, our club, and how you can become involved.
The USNMC has a lot to offer the mastino lover and fancier. One can find information ranging from health concerns, local shows, past National winners, network with other mastino owners and how to locate a breeder. A newcomer to the breed can find the breed standard, browse pictures of mastinos from around the world, and meet a diverse group of mastino lovers who share the common interest of raising, training, breeding and competing. The USNMC sees the need to take a more proactive role in protecting the rights of dog ownership and strives to stay informed on current dog legislation. The Neogram is the club magazine which offers current articles from the club committees, show wins, brags, and advertisements. Browse the website. The USNMC looks forward to you joining the club and the wonderful world of owning a Neapolitan Mastiff.
What is a Neapolitan Mastiff? Where do they come from? What are they used for? This section will cover such topics as the history, purpose, temperament, living with a Neo as a house dog, exercise, weather tolerance, breeding and much more.

THE 2ND ANNUAL AKC MEET THE BREEDS EVENT
WHEN: OCTOBER 16 AND 17, 2010 (time to be determined)
WHERE: THE JAVITS CENTER, NEW YORK CITY!!!
WHO WILL BE THERE: Parent Club Booths for 167 AKC-registered breeds as well as breeds in the Miscellaneous Class and AKC Foundation
Stock Service -- and the adoring public!
The United States Neapolitan Mastiff Club needs at least two (2) adult Neapolitan Mastiff adults and two (2) Neapolitan Mastiff puppies that it would like to showcase to the multitudes of people who will be attending the Meet the Breeds event. Ideally, the USNMC would need you and your Neo(s) on October 16 and/or October 17 to MEET AND GREET THE PUBLIC at its booth. This is a heavily attended event so you and especially your Neo(s) would have to be able to withstand the crowds, children of all ages, different types of noises and smells, heat and other dogs at this event.
If you are interested in showcasing your Neo at Meet the Breeds, please contact Cathy DeLuca at catmastino@gmail.com as soon as you can. She will send you all of the details for your review so that you and your Neo can commit to this event for at least one (1) day out of the two (2) days (exact starting time to be determined). October will be here before you know it! NYC and the USNMC would love to see your beautiful and well-behaved Neo(s) at this event!!
